Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 17, 2026

GoSosh is built with the principle that personal data should stay personal. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, what we don't, and what we do with anything we touch.

Summary

What GoSosh stores

On your device

In your private iCloud database (synced across your Apple devices only)

What GoSosh sends, and where

When the app refreshes a card, it queries public data sources directly from your device. Depending on the card and category, these can include:

Each request carries only the query for the subject you're tracking — those services see a request from your device the same way they'd see one from your browser. The requests originate from your device; we are not in the path, and we have no log of what you've searched.

One exception: when a feed item arrives with no cover image, just that article's URL is sent to our image-lookup service (api.donbon.com) so the card can show a hero image. That service sees only the URL, never your identity — and you can turn it off in Settings → Image lookup.

What GoSosh does not do

Purchases

GoSosh Plus is a one-time purchase, processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see your payment method or billing information. Apple handles authentication, billing, and refunds. Because Plus is a one-time purchase, nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel.

Third-party services

GoSosh queries these public services on your behalf. Each has its own privacy policy:

When you tap an article or source link, you open it in an in-app Safari View Controller. Apple manages that session; we are not in the loop for what you read.

Children

GoSosh is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, and certainly not from children.

Your rights

You can delete any card or all cards at any time from within the app (Settings → Data → Delete all cards). Deletions sync through iCloud and remove the data from your account. To revoke the YouTube API key, clear it in Settings → Sources → YouTube.

Plus is a one-time purchase, so there is nothing to cancel. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy materially, we'll update the effective date above and surface a notice in the app on next launch.
